Family Clarification Therapy
In the aftermath of allegations of abuse, parents are often expected to pick up the pieces and resume a level of co-parenting which can seem impossible. They may distrust one another’s motives and abilities; fear for their children’s safety; and worry about future allegations. I am trained to provide an intervention addressing the most crucial concerns of the formerly accused and accusing parents, while giving children the tools and permissions they need to navigate forward. Termed “Family Clarification Therapy,” this short-term intervention provides education and oversight that can be beneficial to families and the Family Court.
Private Forensic Evaluations
For matters meeting certain criteria, private forensic evaluations may be necessary. This may include meeting with a child in a forensic setting by Order of the Court, at the request of a guardian ad litem, or other circumstances where law enforcement and/or child protective services involvement is inappropriate or no longer necessary.
